earn more about aviation careers in the Brainerd Lakes Area through a tour experience tailored specifically for high school students.

Explore specific occupations that are in demand now, learn about the work environments and talk to professionals about their career track.
 
Research shows that a workplace connection creates relevance, guides careers and educational goals, and connects regional employers with graduates. Allowing students to observe workplace activities, discuss the education and training required, and find out what qualities are desired in a potential employee helps put futures in focus.
 
2014 Airport Tour Details
Thursday, April 24 or Friday April 25
At Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport

  • Visit the maintenance building and learn from mechanics and technicians
  • Meet airline and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents
  • Interact with crews for airport rescue and fire fighting, as well as a flight nurse and helicopter pilot
  • Learn from a certified flight instructor and aircraft pilot
  • Talk to airport management and support staff
This is a part of a series of immersion camps and tours coordinated by the Bridges Workplace Connection in partnership with Otto Bremer Foundation and Region 5 Development Commission.
